Supporting Australia’s energy transition with Suntop solar farm

Bouygues Construction Australia was awarded Suntop solar farm contract by Canadian Solar.

The 450-hectares project, located west of New South Wales, will count 440 000 solar panels and produce 190MWp (150MWac).

The single-axis tracking innovation allows the panels to track the sun’s movement east to west each day.

The project will also create economic benefits to the local region through local employment opportunities. At peak activity, the site will welcome up to 400 workers.

Bouygues Construction already played a major role in Australia’s energy transition. Previous projects include Parkes, Griffith, Dubbo, Narromine, Hamilton and Whitsunday, and New South Wales’ biggest solar farm Coleambally in 2018.

Thanks to the local team and the combined effort between the Bouygues Construction Group countries and entities, Bouygues Construction Australia could support Canadian Solar through its teams engaged locally and internationally.
