Through its subsidiary, Bouygues Construction Australia, Bouygues Construction has signed, as part as a consortium with the leading Australian engineering company Lend Lease, a contract worth a total of A$2.6 billion (roughly €1.9 billion) with the transport operator Transurban to design and build a nine-kilometre twin-tube tunnel for the NorthConnex project in Sydney, Australia. Bouygues Construction’s share of the contract is valued at approximately €900 million (A$1.3 billion).
More than 350 local business and community leaders, including Toowoomba Regional Council Mayor Paul Antonio, came out to meet and network with the RangeLink consortium at an event at the Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport last night.
Bouygues Batiment International continues to flourish in the Caribbean. On 10 December, the company finalised a contract worth close to $47 million (€40 million) with the National Insurance Board (NIB) of Trinidad and Tobago, a small archipelago occupying an area of 5,130km² off the coast of Venezuela.
With BYMA teams preparing to deliver from March 2015 the first project of Bouygues Batiment International in Myanmar, on 18 December, the company concluded a major new contract in Rangoon.
