BOUYGUES CONSTRUCTION AUSTRALIA

Health and Safety

Health and safety is a core value of Bouygues Construction Australia, and it is our paramount objective to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all persons involved in our operations.

Our commitment to health and safety is an integral part of our approach to doing business, which we call Actitudes. As a group-wide policy, Actitudes provides the platform to ensure all employees and stakeholders are aligned to health and safety being a core value, and that they are engaged in, and empowered by our Safety Program.

Our positive safety culture is supported by a Just Culture framework that secures the participation and engagement of our workforce, ensures expectations and accountabilities are clearly defined, and that all our stakeholders are treated fairly and equitably.

Bouygues Construction Australia’s industry leading health and safety standards are underpinned by our Safety Cultural Program which aims to foster positive safety behaviors, worker engagement, risk awareness, transparency and accountability.

This program is a dynamic approach to health and safety management focusing on behaviors and the empowerment of each individual.

BYCA’s Safety Cultural Program consists of the following elements:

  • Annual World Health and Safety Day
  • Senior Management Leadership Inspection Program
  • Senior Management Safety Focus Group
  • A Senior Management and Supervisor Training Program
  • Implementation of Positive Performance Indicators
  • Reward and Recognition Program

Bouygues Construction Australia is accredited by the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme and is accredited to AS/NZS 4801 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Requirements.

Theses accreditations reinforce our ability to systematically manage health and safety risk, and our attainment of industry leading health and safety management standards.
